On November 22 the crew of worldwide famous TV show Top Gear arrived in Sevastopol to film their next season. Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May decided to test economy cars on Ukrainian roads.
Top Gear is a British TV show about motor vehicles, primarily cars. It is the world's most widely watched factual television programme with 30 years history. Nowadays show has been running since 2002 when one of the hosts Jeremy Clarkson and TV producer Andy Wilman decided to relaunch Top Gear in new format with new features.
Since then the show has been well-known for its humor, sarcasm, luxury cars, unusual tests, interesting news and specials. Today the programme is estimated to have around 350 million views per week in 170 different countries.
While travelling to Ukraine, the BBC Top Gear group visited several cities, including Sevastopol. Here, at the steps of the Best Western Sevastopol Hotel, they were shooting a part of their next episode surrounded by the crowd of fans willing to take photos with their heroes.
The Best Western Sevastopol Hotel has provided its honorable guests with comfortable rooms and the Italian cuisine restaurant Il Patio organised delicious dinner. The whole group was impressed by the surprise from hotel’s team – a huge cake with Top Gear logo on it. The cake was specially made by chef cook of Shokoladnitsa coffee house.
