On the 21st of July FC Sevastopol played their second game of the Premier League with FC Shakhtar Donetsk. The final score of a spectacular match is 3-1, Shakhtar claimed a win.

FC Shakhtar Donetsk was formed in 1936. During almost 100 years of existence the club has become four-time USSR Cup winner, nine-time Ukrainian Cup winner, eight-time Champion of Ukraine and winner of UEFA Cup 2009. This is one of four Ukrainian teams which never left national Premier League. Moreover, since 1996 when Rinat Akhmetov became Club’s President, FC Shakhtar has never gone lower than 2nd place in Ukrainian Championship.

At the traditional post-match press conference Mircea Lucescu, Shakhtar’s mentor, admitted that it was a very tough game due to aggressive football played by Sevastopol team, their faithful fans and interfering wind.
